The Kittery Art Association is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization and we are committed to our mission to promote knowledge of the arts, stimulate interest in the work of local artists, and express appreciation for the abundant creativity in the Seacoast area. In 2024, we successfully completed eleven exhibits showcasing the work of local artists. We are pleased to serve our art community, which is a diverse mix of mid-level and professional artists of all mediums. Each spring, we partner with the Kittery School System to put on an exhibit of artwork from K-12 students at no charge. We also award scholarships to Traip Academy seniors who plan to pursue their studies in the arts. Through our Marcia Abigail Ryder Scholarship Program, we awarded three students a total of $3,000 in FY2024. This year, we expanded our educational programming, offering a full schedule of in person art workshops for children and adults, music events, and demos in our gallery and lower level studio space.
