Spurwink offers expert support, treatment and guidance to children and adolescents through a continuum of care that includes residential treatment, specialized schools, and therapeutic foster homes in 1) residential treatment facility in Cumberland County serving about 20 youth per year; 2) three Special Purpose Private Schools in Cumberland, Androscoggin and Kennebec counties and a Therapeutic Pre-School in York County serving 150 students per year; and 3) treatment foster homes in southern and central Maine serving about 30 children per year. Each year, we support over 200 young people in overcoming challenges and building brighter futures.

Spurwink's outpatient and community-based programs reach approximately 10,000 Mainers each year, providing accessible mental health care, substance use disorder treatment, and specialized support for those facing trauma or abuse. Our innovative servicesincluding outpatient therapy (in public school settings, outpatient offices, and primary care practices), medication management, behavioral health homes, Assertive Community Treatment, Opioid Health Home, Crisis Receiving Center, Certified Community Behavioral Health Center, trauma focused treatment for refugees, child abuse evaluations, as well as a number of contracted services for the Maine Department of Health and Human Services ensure that every individual receives the help they need, wherever they are.

Through a network of approximately 30 supportive homes, 2 intermediate care facilities in York, Cumberland and Androscoggin Counties, and 25 specialized Shared Living homes, we create safe, nurturing environments where individuals can live meaningful, fulfilling lives in their communities.
