THE MISSION OF MAINE MENTAL HEALTH CONNECTIONS IS BASED ON THE PHILOSOPHY THAT CONSUMERS OF MENTAL HEALTH AND/OR DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY SERVICES HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHOICE IN DETERMINING THEIR INDEPENDENCE IN THE COMMUNITY, AND OPPORTUNITIES SHOULD BE PROVIDED FOR THEM TO HAVE AND MAKE CHOICES THAT WILL LEAD TO THEIR INDIVIDUALIZED AND GROUP EMPOWERMENT.
