The community donates a wide variety of items to the thrift shop which are resold for a nominal fee. This keeps items out of landfills. We also recycle unsellable items. Together this provides a revenue source for the nonprofit while also providing the community with a resource of low cost items for those in need. We work with local service agencies to provide free items for clients of need. We re-donate items that local nonprofits need such as durable medical equipment, pet food and diapers. We also re-donate items to the groups using the building such as yarn for a knitting group. We support an on-site, little library with free books. The thrift shop itself acts as a community center, being a very unique shopping space where friends meet and are made! In 2023 we had 51,035 sales transactions. We tell everyone, "The thrift shop is small, but mighty!"

Every year the organization provides free meeting space for 150 groups that are made up of teams, clubs, nonprofits, service agencies, support groups, home schoolers and more. We do not have residency restrictions on who can utilize the building. We aim to decrease the social isolation of older adults with our free programs including 2 games groups every weekday and monthly programs such as WiFi Cafe, entertainment, information sessions and movies. We have free programming to bring families together including 4 large scale events such as Family Fun Fest which has about 1,000 people in attendance. Our Winter Wiggles program gives physical activity to preschoolers and community for their caregivers. We operate a free after school enrichment program at Gilbert H Hood Middle school. We feel it is important to make our programming free so that it is accessible to everyone. Meeting space is available to rent, for a nominal fee, for businesses and parties, which provides another low-cost resource for the community.
