Mission

THE HOPKINTON LIBRARY FOUNDATION IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT WAS FORMED TO HELP FURTHER AND IMPROVE THE PUBLIC LIBRARY IN OUR TOWN. BECAUSE OF MANY GENEROUS GIFTS, MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS AND BEQUESTS OVER THE YEARS, THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED FUNDING FOR SEVERAL LIBRARY STUDIES, ARCHITECTURAL PLANS AND PUBLICITY FOR THE BUILDING PROJECT THAT PRODUCED THE LIBRARY WE ARE PROUD TO HAVE TODAY. THE FOUNDATION CONTINUES TO ENHANCE THE LIBRARY AND THE COMMUNITY BY FUNDING ADULT AND CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS, CONTRIBUTING TO THE FICTION, NONFICTION, AUDIO AND VIDEO COLLECTIONS AND CONTRIBUTING TO THE LIBRARY'S TECHNOLOGY UPGRADES. IT FUNDS THE LIBRARY NEWSLETTER AND PARTIALLY UNDERWRITES THE HOPKINTON READS PROGRAM. INCOME FROM THE FOUNDATION'S INVESTMENTS ARE USED TO PROVIDE THESE BENEFITS TO THE LIBRARY BEYOND THE NORMAL OPERATING BUDGET.
