THE VERMONT A.T.V. SPORTSMAN'S ASSOCIATION, INC. (VASA) WAS INCORPORATED IN 1998 TO REPRESENT THE INTEREST OF ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE USERS IN VERMONT. THE ORGANIZATION WORKS DILIGENTLY WITH LOCAL ATV CLUBS AND LANDOWNERS TO EXPAND ITS NETWORK OF TRAILS THROUGHOUT THE STATE WHILE FOCUSING ON SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES. THE ORGANIZATION'S GOALS INCLUDE ELEVATING THE LEVELS OF COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT, SAFETY ENHANCEMENT, AND ECOLOGICAL AWARENESS WITH RESPECT TO THE USE OF ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLES. THE ORGANIZATION IS FUNDED BY GRANTS FROM THE VERMONT DEPARTMENT OF PARKS, FORESTS, AND RECREATION, MEMBERSHIP FEES, AND OTHER INCOME.
