The fund helps pay for their basic living needs such as but not limited to transportation to treatment, housing, utilities, home heating, food, prescriptions, specialty clothing and out-of-pocket medical expenses. On average, the fund supports approx 500 patients each year and has awarded more than $3 million dollars to patients since it began in 2001.
The Cancer Patient Support Foundation Maggie Card program provides discounts to local cancer patients on goods and services from participating businesses.
