Program Service Accomplishments:During 2025, Bit-By-Bit Medical Therapeutic Riding Center, Inc. advanced its mission of improving lives through equine-assisted services by delivering structured, evidence-based programming to individuals with disabilities, special needs, at-risk youth, and veterans. Services included hippotherapy (physical, occupational, speech-language therapy), therapeutic riding, and equine assisted learning and activities. Programs were delivered by qualified staff with the support of trained volunteers, maintaining a focus on participant safety, individualized care, and measurable progress. In 2025, the organization expanded program accessibility and capacity through continued development of its facilities and resources. Funds raised through community-based fundraising initiatives contributed directly to the construction of a covered arena. This capital improvement significantly enhanced year-round program delivery by providing a safe, weather-protected environment, reducing cancellations due to weather, and increasing the number of participants served.Bit-by-Bit continued to strengthen its interdisciplinary approach by collaborating with therapists, educators, and community partners to ensure services align with best practices in equine-assisted therapy and adaptive programming. The organization also provided hands-on training and mentorship opportunities for volunteers, students, and community members, reinforcing its commitment to education and workforce development within the field.Additionally, the organization maintained a high standard of equine care, ensuring that all therapy horses received appropriate nutrition, veterinary care, and conditioning to support their role in therapeutic services. Responsible herd management, including planning for the transition and retirement of therapy horses, remained a priority to ensure long-term program sustainability and animal welfare.
