SAFE FAMILIES OKLAHOMA WORKS TO KEEP CHILDREN SAFE AND FAMILIES INTACT DURING TIMES OF CRISIS. THROUGH A VOLUNTEER-BASED PROGRAM, CHILDREN ARE TEMPORARILY HOSTED IN VOLUNTEERS' HOMES TO PROVIDE THEM WITH A SAFE PLACE TO STAY WHILE PARENTS TAKE TIME AND SPACE TO GET BACK ON THEIR FEET. SFO WORKS TO STABILIZE FAMILIES IN CRISIS, INTERVENE TO PREVENT CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT BEFORE IT OCCURS, AND REDUCE THE NUMBER OF CHILDREN ENTERING FOSTER CARE. SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE IN THE OKLAHOMA CITY AND TULSA AREAS AND EXPANDING STATEWIDE.
