THE MISSION OF THE FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION ("FCCDC") IS TO STIMULATE A MORE VITAL, RURAL ECONOMY, TO MAXIMIZE CONTROL OVER OUR FUTURE ECONOMIC DESTINY, AND TO EXPAND OPPORTUNITIES FOR LOW- AND MODERATE-INCOME RESIDENTS. TO ACCOMPLISH THIS MISSION, THE FCCDC SHALL SPONSOR PROJECTS IN OUR CORE FOCUS AREAS: 1 - SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENTSUPPORT BUSINESSES NAVIGATING STARTUP, GROWTH, RECOVERY, AND TRANSITION WHILE BEING A CATALYST FOR JOB AND WEALTH CREATION IN OUR COMMUNITY. 2 - INCLUSIVE ACCESS TO RESOURCES AND CAPITALBUILD PATHWAYS AND REDUCE BARRIERS FOR LOW- AND MODERATE-INCOME RESIDENTS AND UNDERREPRESENTED GROUPS TO PARTICIPATE FULLY IN THE LOCAL ECONOMY. 3 - COMMUNITY-CENTERED ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENTROOTED IN FRANKLIN COUNTY AND SERVING WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS, WE ADVOCATE FOR POLICIES THAT PRIORITIZE LOCAL ECONOMIES. 4 - LOCAL AND REGIONAL FOOD SYSTEMSPROVIDE TRAINING AND BUSINESS TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO FARM AND FOOD BUSINESSES, AS WELL AS ACCESSIBLE FOOD PROCESSING SERVICES FOR A MORE JUST AND RESILIENT FOOD SYSTEM. 5 - ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE AND CAPACITYCREATE AN INTERNAL CULTURE THAT SERVES AS A MODEL FOR BUSINESSES WE WORK WITH. THE FCCDC COMMITS TO THESE FIVE CORE FOCUS AREAS WHILE ADHERING TO THE FOLLOWING CORE VALUES: COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT; RACIAL, SOCIAL, AND ECONOMIC JUSTICE; ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT; COLLABORATION; AND INTEGRITY.
