THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIORITY POPULATIONS INCLUDE LGBTQ+ YOUTH OF COLOR, TRANSGENDER YOUTH AND HOMELESS/LOW-INCOME YOUTH. THE ORGANIZATION'S BOSTON-BASED PROGRAMS INCLUDE SOCIAL SUPPORT, YOUTH LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND HEALTH PROMOTION PROGRAMMING, AS WELL AS ITS NEW COMPREHENSIVE HEALTH SERVICES CLINIC. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO MANAGES AND FUNDS THE LGBTQ+ YOUTH GROUP NETWORK OF MASSACHUSETTS, A NETWORK OF OVER 15 COMMUNITY-BASED LGBTQ+ YOUTH GROUPS THROUGHOUT THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS.THE ORGANIZATION OFFERS CULTURALLY COMPETENT RESOURCES AND REFERRALS FOR YOUTH IN NEED OF SERVICES NOT PROVIDED BY THE ORGANIZATION, AS WELL AS TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR PARENTS AND YOUTH-SERVING PROFESSIONALS AND ORGANIZATIONS. THE ORGANIZATION CONDUCTS LOCAL AND NATIONAL COMMUNITY EDUCATION, PUBLIC POLICY WORK AND ADVOCACY ON THE ISSUES FACING LGBTQ+ YOUTH, AND ALSO ENGAGES IN ONGOING EVALUATION AND RESEARCH ACTIVITIES IN ORDER TO ENSURE THAT IT IS BEST ADDRESSING THE CURRENT AND EMERGING NEEDS OF THE LGBTQ+ YOUTH COMMUNITY.THE ORGANIZATION IS NOW THE OLDEST AND LARGEST LGBTQ+ YOUTH ORGANIZATION IN NEW ENGLAND, AND ONE OF THE LONGEST STANDING IN THE NATION. THE ORGANIZATION IS A NATIONALLY KNOWN MODEL FOR LGBTQ+ YOUTH LEADERSHIP, PROGRAMS, SERVICES AND ADVOCACY, AND THE ORGANIZATION AND ITS STAFF, BOARD MEMBERS AND YOUTH LEADERS HAVE BEEN THE RECIPIENTS OF NUMEROUS LOCAL AND NATIONAL AWARDS FOR OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT AND EXCELLENCE.
