CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS INCLUDE A WIDE RANGE OF ENRICHMENT OPPORTUNITIES COORDINATED BY THE PTG'S CHILDREN'S PROGRAMMING COMMITTEE. OFFERINGS INCLUDE VISITING AUTHORS, SCIENCE AND CULTURAL ASSEMBLIES, ARTS AND MUSIC WORKSHOPS, PERFORMANCES, AND OTHER HANDS-ON EXPERIENCES THAT EXTEND CLASSROOM LEARNING. PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED TO COMPLEMENT THE ACADEMIC CURRICULUM AND PROMOTE SOCIAL, CREATIVE, AND INTELLECTUAL DEVELOPMENT. EACH GRADE-LEVEL AND SPECIAL SUBJECT CLASSROOM (ART, MUSIC, LIBRARY, PHYSICAL EDUCATION, AND SPANISH) RECEIVES A PREDETERMINED STIPEND EACH YEAR. SUPPORT STAFF, INCLUDING CLASSROOM AIDES, SPECIAL EDUCATION STAFF, AND THERAPISTS, ARE ALSO ELIGIBLE FOR STIPENDS TO SUPPORT THEIR WORK WITH STUDENTS. STIPENDS ARE INTENDED FOR CLASSROOM SUPPLIES, INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS, AND ENHANCEMENTS NOT PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUDGET THAT DIRECTLY BENEFIT STUDENTS. STAFF SUBMIT REIMBURSEMENT REQUESTS WITH SUPPORTING RECEIPTS OR INVOICES TO THE PTG TREASURER, WHO REVIEWS EACH REQUEST FOR APPROPRIATENESS AND BUDGET AVAILABILITY BEFORE ISSUING REIMBURSEMENT.
