THE MISSION OF MASSACHUSETTS ADVOCATES STANDING STRONG, INC. IS TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR SELF-ADVOCATES (INDIVIDUALS WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES - I/DD, INCLUDING AUTISM) RESIDING IN MASSACHUSETTS. THE MISSION IS ACCOMPLISHED BY PROMOTING SELF-ADVOCACY AND RELATED ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING EDUCATION OF INTERESTED PERSONS AND THE PUBLIC AT LARGE TO HELP ENSURE THAT PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES ARE TREATED EQUALLY WITH OTHER PEOPLE. MASS SENDS A MONTHLY NEWSLETTER, FACILITATES PEER TRAININGS AND PANEL PRESENTATIONS, EXHIBITS AT ANNUAL EVENTS, PROVIDES ANNUAL SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES, AND HOSTS A SELF-ADVOCACY CONFERENCE (AT LEAST ONCE EVERY TWO YEARS), WHICH IS A SIGNIFICANT ASPECT OF ITS PROGRAM SERVICE DELIVERY.
