MAC runs Educational Conferences (aka "MAC meetings"), bringing in local regional and national speakers on topics of interest in animal welfare. Standing conferences include Whole Cat Workshop and All About Dogs (both typically held in the Spring), and a Hot Topics session in autumn. These sessions are not only educational; they enable networking amongst the participants, and are integral to MAC's mission to create forums for dialogue and strategic collaboration to reduce the number of homeless, neglected, displaced and abused companion animals. During the pandemic, Zoom was used to hold meetings. MAC hosted its first post-pandemic in person meeting in June 2023.
