GOAT FARM PROJECT: HAITI ARISE MINITRIES (HAM) - USA PROVIDED FUNDING TO HAM - HAITI TO PURCHASE A NEW PIECE OF LAND FOR OUR GOAT FARM PROJECT WHERE WE RAISE GOATS AND TEACH FIFTH AND SIXTH GRADE STUDENTS TO CARE FOR THEM. AT THE END OF A SIX WEEK TRAINING THE STUDENTS TAKE A PREGNANT GOAT HOME. THIS PROGRAM IS EXPANDING, SO AN ADDITIONAL TWO ACRES OF LAND NEEDED TO BE PURCHASED TO RAISE MORE GOATS. IN 2021 WE TRAINED 40 STUDENTS AND GAVE THEM GOATS. THIS LAND IS IN GRAND-GOAVE, HAITI. HOME REBUILDING: GRANTS WERE PROVIDED TO HELP REBUILD HOMES FOR THE LOCAL POPULATION AFTER THE AUGUST 2021 EARTHQUAKE. WE BUILT 20 HOMES WITH THESE FUNDS FOR FAMILIES THAT LOST THIER HOMES DUE TO THE EARTHQUAKE IN THE AREAS OF LES CAYES, SOUTHERN HAITI. IN 2021, WITH THE SUPPORT OF HAM - USA, THESE WERE THE TWO MAJOR PROJECTS WE ACCOMPLISHED. DUE TO THE UNREST AND POLITICAL UPHEAVAL IN THE COUNTRY, WE WERE NOT ABLE TO CARRY OUT MANY OF OUR OTHER PROGRAMS. SCHOOLS WERE CLOSED OFF AND ON DUE TO COVID-19.
ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT: GRANTS WERE PROVIDED TO HELP COVER BANKING FEES.
