SINCE ITS INCEPTION, CCSE'S BELIEVE IN ME! PROGRAM HAS AWARDED SEED GRANTS TO CATHOLIC SCHOOLS IN MARYLAND AND WASHINGTON DC TO SUPPORT THE CREATION OR EXPANSION OF INCLUSIVE, SPECIAL EDUCATION SERVICES TO STUDENTS WITH DISABILTIES. THIS FUNDING ALLOWS SCHOOLS TO HIRE SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS AND PARA-PROFESSIONALS, TO PURSUE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN THE AREA OF SPECIAL EDUCATION AND TO PURCHASE SPECIALIZED CLASSROOM MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT. GRANTS AWARDED ARE COMPLEMENTED BY MONTHLY PRO-BONO TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE. GRANTS ARE AWARDED AT CCSE'S ANNUAL GRANT AWARDS CEREMONY.

CCSE'S PRO-BONO TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE (TA) TO SCHOOLS CONSISTS OF PROGRAM ASSISTANCE, TRAINING, INSTRUCTIONAL COACHING TO ENSURE THAT SCHOOLS ARE EQUIPPED AND STAFFED TO MEET THE NEEDS OF STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES AND THAT TEACHERS ARE WELL PREPARED IN BEST PRACTICES IN INCLUSIVE EDUCATION TO SERVE ALL THE STUDENTS IN THEIR CLASSROOMS. SERVICES INCLUDE: MONTHLY INDIVIDUAL TEACHER AND TEAM COACHING BY CCSE'S INSTRUCTIONAL COACH, IN-SERVICE TRAINING AND TOPICAL WORKSHOPS; IMPLEMENTING APPROPRIATE MODIFICATIONS AND ACCOMODATIONS; YEAR-LONG CAPACITY BUILDING ASSISTANCE TAILORED TO A SCHOOL'S NEEDS. INCLUDES OVER 200 HOURS OF INSTRUCTIONAL COACHING AND CONSULTING TO GRANTEE AND FORMER GRANTEE SCHOOLS IN ADDITION TO SELECT OTHER SCHOOLS.
