Mentoring program for at "risk youth": Each youth is sponsored by a local Christian church, mentored by a trained, Christian man, provided life skill training and summer camping, and encouraged to serve his community through a service project at his school, church or a community service branch. Each mentee has the opportunity to be eligible for a $10,000 seed grant providing they have met all of the requirements of the Pathway Ministry and graduate high school in the allotted time of 4 years. These funds, which are to be awarded and held by the Maranatha Foundation, a related charitable organization, will be distributed to each young man upon reaching his 23rd birthday, earning interest between the date of his graduation and his 23rd birthday. During the fiscal year ended 8/31/2018, the organization had 36 mentors, 11 students graduated from the Academy and went into the 9th grade, and 10 students graduated high school from the program.
