United States Storybook Treasures:Every pre-kindergarten through third grade student at Pioneer Park and Pahokee elementary schools received five StoryBook Treasures packs, containing high-quality books, treasures and materials to foster a love of reading. Teachers receive professional development, and feedback from teachers, parents and students is extremely positive. iReady scores from 2023-24 to 2024-25 showed significant improvements, including third-grade scores advancing from 21% of the class reading at grade level to 42%. Second-grade students went from 5% to 22% at grade level, and the number of students below grade level dropped from 81% to 40%. In a country where only 40% of students complete sixth grade and often face violence, alcoholism, drug addiction and poverty, El Patojismo is offering a safe place with loving teachers who can show children a path to their passions. With a Shark Tank program, they are helping students to form their own businesses, and they are offering several vocational training opportunities.
