YPIE SCHOLARS AND COLLEGE ZONE THE YPIE SCHOLARS PROGRAM PREPARES STUDENTS FOR SUCCESS IN COLLEGE AND IN FUTURE CAREERS. BEGINNING IN NINTH GRADE, STUDENTS MEET WITH YPIE STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS WHO...

YPIE SCHOLARS AND COLLEGE ZONE THE YPIE SCHOLARS PROGRAM PREPARES STUDENTS FOR SUCCESS IN COLLEGE AND IN FUTURE CAREERS. BEGINNING IN NINTH GRADE, STUDENTS MEET WITH YPIE STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS WHO PROVIDE MENTORING AND ACADEMIC COACHING.AT THE YPIE COLLEGE ZONE, STUDENTS RECEIVE INTENSIVE TUTORING IN CORE SUBJECT AREAS, INCLUDING MATH AND SCIENCE. THEY ALSO CHOOSE A CAREER-FOCUSED AREA, CALLED A YPIE MAJOR, THAT THEY PURSUE THROUGHOUT HIGH SCHOOL. STUDENTS WORK WITH PROFESSIONALS IN THE FIELD TO COMPLETE A PROJECT AND/OR EARN COLLEGE CREDIT, AND PARTICIPATE IN COMPETITIONS TO DEMONSTRATE THEIR LEARNING.
