For the year ended December 31, 2024, Extraordinary Ventures, Inc. operated the following programs to create inclusive employment opportunities:(I)Social Enterprises Program - Six self-sustaining small businesses that provide employment opportunities for adults with IDD.(1)Extraordinary LaundryA pick-up and delivery laundry service serving local residential communities, universities, and businesses. The laundry business provides structured, supportive jobs in a professional work environment, allowing employees with IDD to develop vocational skills in delivery services and sorting, washing, and folding. (2)Extraordinary Office SolutionsThis venture provides mail processing services for large clients. Team members perform essential functions ranging from stamping letters to delivering pallets of mail to the post office. (3)Extraordinary GiftsAn e-commerce, wholesale, and retail gift business that produces handmade candles and soaps. Employees participate in all phases of production and fulfillment, including selling directly to the public at local markets. (4)The Blue Hill Event CenterA professional event space and that offers flexible event rentals ranging from corporate trainings to weddings. Events Crew employees are responsible for event set ups, tear downs, and regular building cleaning. (5)Extraordinary Clean CrewA commercial cleaning business. This program provides structured janitorial and maintenance roles that support skill development and teamwork. Current contracts include The Town of Chapel Hill and the Carol Woods Retirement Community. (6)Extraordinary PetsThis is a dog walking business. Employees walk dogs for clients on a regular schedule.(II)Community Engagement and Advocacy - In addition to its social enterprises program, Extraordinary Ventures works to raise awareness about the importance of inclusive employment, partnering with schools, families, and local governments to expand opportunities and promote systemic change.Together, these programs reflect Extraordinary Ventures belief in the abilities and potential of all individuals to lead fulfilling, productive lives through meaningful employment.
