Founded in 1977 by artists, Harvestworks is a non-profit organization whose missionis to support contemporary young artists in the creation of art works achievedthrough the use of new and evolving technologies. Our T.E.A.M. (Technology,Engineering, Art and Music) lab is a facility that offers outstanding technicalexpertise, a high level of engagement with the artist coupled with well- equippedproduction studios to support the artist in the creation of new work. Our EducationProgram offers independent study and certificates in interactive media and immersivesound and video. The Artist-in-Residence program annually commissions artists tocreate a new work and the Art and Technology Program on Governors Island is ourpublic presentation series of concerts, lectures, exhibitions and conferences.
