The Programs committee provided a variety of programs for professional development industry education and networking. In 2025 we recognized leaders in the transportation industry with our chapter recognition awards and heard an inspiring speech from MTA Board member Midori Valdivia. In April the committee hosted the Spring Dinner Pathways to Progress: Women Shaping Accessible Transportation. Moderator Emily Gallo of HNTB led a discussion with panelists: Rachel Cohen of the MTA Rachel Frumin of ACTA at MTA Linda Tonn of MTA and Becky Yurek of NYCDDC. Our Fall Dinner panel Breaking the Glass Ceiling: Women Leading Change featured the release of our Glass Ceiling report and a discussion with panelists: Karen Franz of AKRF Sarah Kaufman of NYU Chitra Radin of Radin Consulting and Ziona Rubin of the MTA.

The Special Events committee organized and hosted our Annual Gala. This annual event honors women who are leaders in the transportation industry and who have reached the highest levels in their chosen field. In addition scholarships are presented to students who intend to pursue a career in transportation. In 2025 we honored Amanda Rogers Director of Construction of Major Capital Projects PANYNJ recognizing her outstanding contributions to advancing women in transportation and her leadership within the field. The award was introduced by Catherine Sheridan President of the Tri-borough Bridge & Tunnel Authority who commended Rogers dedication and impact on the industry. Scholarships were awarded to nine exceptional young women pursuing education in the field of transportation.

The Mentoring committee provides a year long program empowering women to succeed in their professional and personal lives. Proteges are paired with experienced leaders from the transportation industry building strong inspiring relationships. Monthly meetings help them set and achieve goals while sessions provide valuable insights on self-care confidence presentation skills and leadership.
