ROOTED IN THE LANDSCAPE OF THE HUDSON VALLEY, WITH THE PLAYS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE AS OUR TOUCHSTONE, HUDON VALLEY SHAKESPEARE (HVS) ENGAGES THE WIDEST POSSIBLE AUDIENCE IN A THEATRICAL CELEBRATION OF OUR SHARED HUMANITY.IN LATE 2019, HVS COMMENCED A CAPITAL CAMPAIGN TO SUPPORT THE CREATION OF A NEW OUTSOOR, ECOLOGICALLY DRIVEN THEATER CAMPUS, IN THANKS TO A GENEROUS BENEFACTOR WHO CONVEYED TO THE COMPANY 98 ACRES OF RIVER-VIEW PROPERTY IN THE HUDSON HIGHLANDS. IN 2024, HVS COMMENCED CONSTRUCTION ON ITS NEW OPEN-AIR THEATER FACILITY, THE SAMUEL H SCRIPPS THEATER CENTER. CONSTRUCTION AND FUNDRAISING ARE BOTH ONGOING.
