Restoration activities include fighting invasive species, planting native species, and managing beaver wetlands.Conservation Demonstration: SLT creates projects, programs and a newsletter that demonstrate conservation strategies and promote awareness of the natural world, and offer actions people can take on their own property.Provision of passive outdoor recreation for the public: SLT created and maintains trails and other amenities in Rhinoceros Creek Reservation including a pavilion, a native garden, and benches. SLT manages projects by local scouting groups to continue improving the public's experiences.Environmental Stewardship: SLT two open-space parcels in the Town of Somers: Rhinocerous Creek Reservation and 85 Warren Street.
