DASSDANCE SERVES THE COMMUNITY BY OFFERING ACCESSIBLE DANCE EDUCATION AND INCLUSIVE PERFORMANCE PROGRAMMING FOR CHILDREN THROUGH ADULTS OF ALL AGES. SCHOLARSHIPS AND FREE OR REDUCED TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC AT OUR SCHOOL, OUTREACH PROGRAMS AS WELL AS FESTIVALS AND STUDENT AND PROFESSIONAL PERFORMANCES. WE CONNECT WITH LOCAL PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND NON-PROFITS TO REACH A BROADER SECTOR OF THE POPULATION INCLUDING FRIENDS OF YOUTH TO OFFER FREE TICKETS TO FOSTER FAMILIES. ALL PERFORMANCES FEATURE BOTH STUDENT AND PROFESSIONAL DANCERS, GIVING EMPLOYMENT TO PROFESSIONAL DANCERS AND INSPIRATION TO STUDENTS. THE 14TH ANNUAL ALL 4 1 DANCEPALOOZA ASSEMBLES COMMUNITIES OF DIFFERENT CULTURAL AND DANCE STYLES TOGETHER TO SHOWCASE THEIR TALENTS AND FIND A COMMON GROUND TO BUILD FRIENDSHIPS AND REACH A DIVERSE POPULATION. ALL 4 1 ATTRACTS OVER 150 STUDENTS TO ENGAGE WITH CELEBRATED MASTER ARTISTS AND PERFORM TOGETHER AT BROADWAY PERFORMANCE HALL. SEATTLE CITY NUTCRACKER SHOWCASES WILKINS' ATHLETIC ALL-TERRAIN MELDING OF JAZZ, BALLET, MODERN AND ACROBATICS AS WELL AS TAP AND HIGH-FLYING AERIAL. DASSDANCE INVITES KOACH GIGGZ AND HIS HIP HOP GROUP KUTT'N'UP TO JOIN IN THE PRODUCTION, ADDING TO THE DIVERSITY PRESENTED ON THE STAGE AND IN THE AUDIENCE. OUR SPRING SHOW OFFERS THE OPPORTUNITY TO SHOWCASE THEIR SKILLS IN SUCH PRODUCTIONS AS SWAN LAKE REMIX OR ALICE IN WONDERLAND. IN 2024, WE CONTINUED WORK ON "TOUGH ROOTS" WHICH STARTED WITH THE FOCUS ON THE STORY AND CHALLENGES OF TEEN YOUTH IN THE FOSTER CARE SYSTEM. IN TALKING WITH ARTISTS AND PEER ORGANIZATIONS AS WELL AS THE DANCERS PERSONAL EXPERIENCE THE STORY LINE CONTINUED TO DEVELOP AND PREMIERED IN 2024-2025 FISCAL YEAR IN BOTH SEATTLE AND NEW YORK CITY.
