CVAS IS A SAFE PLACE FOR ANIMAL SURRENDERS, ADOPTIONS, VOLUNTEERING, SENIOR SAVING-SENIOR PROGRAM, COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT,AND FUNDRAISING BOTH ON-SITE AND VIRTUAL MEANS. WE HAVE SEEN AN INCREASE IN OUR OVERALL DONATIONS FOR OUR GENERAL PROGRAM SUPPORT. SPECIAL ONLINE FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGNS IN 2023 RAISED MONEY FOR ANIMAL MEDICAL NEEDS AND SPAY-NEUTER SURGERY. DURING THE 2023 YEAR, WE TOOK IN 463 CATS AND 105 DOGS, A DECREASE FROM 2022. WE HAD 264 CATS ADOPTED AND 79 DOGS ADOPTED. WE ALSO TRANSFERRED 176 CATS AND 12 DOGS TO OTHER SHELTERS. OUR DRIVE-THRU VACCINE CLINICS SERVED 284 DOGS - A 10% INCREASE: 217 CATS - A 42% INCREASE; AND HELPED A TOTAL OF 302 HOUSEHOLDS - AN INCREASE OF 17% OVER 2022. THE ANIMAL FOOD BANK CONTINUES TO BE AN IMPORTANT COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM, SERVING 248 CATS, 165 DOGS, AND 81 HOUSEHOLDS IN 2023.
