IN 2024, OUR NO HUNGRY KIDS PROGRAMS PROVIDED 7,859 FOOD PACKS TO STUDENTS IN THE LEES SUMMIT R7 SCHOOL DISTRICT. WE WORKED CLOSELY WITH SCHOOL COUNSELORS IN 17 SCHOOLS TO DETERMINE HOW MANY STUDENTS LACKED ADEQUATE RESOURCES AT HOME AND NEEDED FOOD AT HOMES DURING THE WEEKEND. WE PROVIDED 10,800 SUMMER LUNCHES AND 2,073 BBQ MEALS IN TWO LOW INCOME NEIGHBORHOODS. FOOD PACKS COST WAS $42,789 OF THE TOTAL EXPENSES ABOVE. THIS PROGRAM IS SUPPORTED BY $5,OOO IN GRANTS AND PROCEEDS FROM OUR DRIVE OUT HUNGER GOLF TOURNAMENT FUNDRAISER.
