2024 WAS A BANNER YEAR FOR YLNI, MARKED BY GROWTH, CONNECTION, AND IMPACT, LED BY OUR 15-MEMBER BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND 45 DEDICATED COMMITTEE MEMBERS - ALL WORKING TOGETHER TO ADVANCE OUR MISSION TO ATTRACT, DEVELOP, AND RETAIN EMERGING LEADERS THROUGH COMMUNITY, PROFESSIONAL, AND SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT. UNDER LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, WE CELEBRATED 34 GRADUATES FROM OUR 19TH LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE COHORT IN MAY AND HOSTED A DYNAMIC POWER LUNCH SERIES, FEATURING 4 REMARKABLE COMMUNITY LEADERS AND 11 EMERGING LEADERS. IN AUGUST, WE WELCOMED 65+ LEADERS TO OUR ANNUAL GENERAL MEMBERSHIP EVENT. SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT ORGANIZED 11 HOT SPOTS, BRINGING TOGETHER NEARLY 400 MEMBERS AND GUESTS WHILE COLLABORATING WITH 5 COMMUNITY GROUPS AND OTHER YLNI COMMITTEES-ALL FOR NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES. THROUGH OUR MISSION ADVANCEMENT, WE SUPPORTED 10 AREA ORGANIZATIONS, BROADENING THE REACH OF YLNI'S MISSION. GET ON BOARD HOSTED 2 GOVERNANCE GATHERINGS, PROVIDED BOARD TRAINING TO AREA NONPROFITS, AND CONTINUED CONNECTING YOUNG PROFESSIONALS WITH ORGANIZATIONS-STRENGTHENING OUR COMMUNITY IMPACT. TEAM YLNI ACTIVELY PARTICIPATED IN COMMUNITY EVENTS LIKE THE FORT WAYNE DRAGON BOAT RACES, THE WORLD BASEBALL ACADEMY WIFFLE BALL SPOOKTACULAR (WINNING "BEST DRESSED" TEAM), AND BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS' BOWL FOR KIDS' SAKE. THE YLNI FARMERS MARKET CONTINUED ITS AWARD-WINNING STREAK, EARNING RECOGNITION AS INDIANA'S 1 FARMERS MARKET BY THE AMERICAN FARMLAND TRUST FOR THE THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR AND FORT WAYNE'S BEST FARMERS MARKET BY READERS' CHOICE FOR THE SIXTH YEAR RUNNING. WITH AN AVERAGE OF 70 VENDORS IN WINTER AND 170 IN SUMMER, THE MARKET WELCOMED 200,000 ATTENDEES IN 2024, INCLUDING OUR 1 MILLIONTH GUEST IN JULY OUR INCLUSION, DIVERSITY, AND ADVOCACY (IDA) COMMITTEE LED IMPACTFUL INITIATIVES, HOSTING 2 TOUGH TALKS, A PROFESSIONAL NETWORKING EVENT, A BOOK CLUB, AND LEAD THE VOTE WHICH PROVIDED OPPORTUNITIES TO ENGAGE WITH LOCAL AND STATE CANDIDATES. COLLABORATING WITH 10+ AREA GROUPS AND SUPPORTING 3 NONPROFITS, THE IDA COMMITTEE REINFORCED YLNI'S COMMITMENT TO FOSTERING A STRONGER COMMUNITY. WITH 185 ACTIVE MEMBERSHIPS AND NEARLY 2,000 NEWSLETTER SUBSCRIBERS, YLNI REMAINS ENERGIZED AS WE PREPARE TO CELEBRATE OUR 20TH YEAR IN 2025.
