THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THE CHISHOLM TRAIL HERITAGE CENTER IS TO EDUCATE USING THE UMBRELLA OF THE CHISHOLM TRAIL TO TEACH NOT ONLY HISTORY AND SOCIAL STUDIES, BUT ALSO MATH, SCIENCE,GEOGRAPHY, BIOLOGY, ENTREPRENEURSHIP, MUSIC APPRECIATION AND FINE ARTS KNOW IN EDUCATIONAL CIRCLES AS STEM. FOUR REVOLVING SESSIONS USE THE HISTORIC BACKDROP OF THE FOLLOWING STORIES: ABERNATHY BOYS, HOLIDAY ON THE TRAIL, HISTORY HEROES AND OKLAHOMA LAND GIVEAWAYS. A SUMMER SESSION IS ALSO TAUGHT. IN THIS CAPACITY, THE CHISHOLM TRAIL HERITAGE CENTER HOSTED OVER 10,000 STUDENTS FROM 91 DIFFERENT DISTRICTS IN OKLAHOMA AND TEXAS AS WELL AS NUMEROUS HOMESCHOOL, PRIVATE, CHARTER AND VIRTUAL STUDENTS. WHILE THE CORE GROUP OF STUDENTS IS IN GRADES 2-5, THE CHISHOLM TRAIL HERITAGE CENTER WORKS WITH STUDENTS AS YOUNG AS AGE 2 TO SENIOR CITIZENS. THE CENTER ALSO HOSTS VARIOUS LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES AS ONE-TIME CLASSES OR WORKSHOPS. THE CENTER HOSTS A NATIONAL DAY OF THE COWBOY CELEBRATION IN CONJUNCTION WITH OUREDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING EACH SUMMER. WE NOW OFFER VIRTUAL EDUCATION SESSIONS FOR GRADESK-12TH
