ACHIEVEMENT To this date TNYC has achieved the following: -There were approximately 120certificates of successful completion granted to participants of Substance Abuse Education and Counseling, Anger Management, Coping Skills, Parenting Skills, Domestic Violence and Relapse Prevention Classes. -Transitional Subsidized Employment Program from Gain Participants remains active. -The Internish hours with our collaborating parnter, Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science provided to their students, continue to grow. -The Foodbank Program has served over 600 recipients. -The Parent Advocacy Program in collaboration with the Black Community Task Force hs helped in the family reunification of at least over 305 children who were detained by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services. -TNYC's A Bundle of Joy Family Childcare continues to assist parents of children in the childcare to cope and deal with daily life's issues through hands-on parenting skills. -The Victim of Crime Program has served over 35 victims. -The Transitional Shelter Program housed at least 55 women and their children. -Our 2 DCFS-Approved monitors have conducted monitored visits between 18 parents and their children. -The Reduction of Mental Health Stigma among Somalia and other African/refugees under representsed populations (UREP) through the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health was launched in September 2014 and concluded in 2016 with 40 participants who are educated about Mental Health and used our linkage to referral. -Transportation Assistance Program through FAME has served over 100 recipients.
