Program Services: In 2020, Ferre Institute, Inc. was asked to manage and coordinate a 4-Year Project to increase awareness and access to genetic services. This project is known as NYMAC (New York - Mid Atlantic - Caribbean) Regional Genetics Network is funded by the Genetic Services Branch in the Health Resources and Services Administration's HRSA Meternal and Child Heath Burea (HRSA-20-046). The NYMAC Region cnosists of ten (10) jurisdictions including eight (8) states, the District of Columbia (D.C.), and two (2) U.S. Territories (Delaware, The District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Virginia, West Virginia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Genetics Counseling Program: This program provides a community based approach that aims to make genetic risk assessment and genetic counseling to underserved communitites.
