Massachusetts Avenue Project works to increase food sovereignty, and provide youth employment, leadership, civic engagement and enterprise opportunities. Massachusetts Avenue Project operates an urban farm, a commercial kitchen, a Mobile Market program bringing healthy food to 10+ food insecure neighborhoods, a youth employment and training program and provides community education and advocacy. We envision a community in which all youth and families have access to nutritious, affordable and culturally appropriate food, where people have economic opportunities to enrich their lives and support their communities, and where youth and adults are together engaged in advocacy and planning for the benefit of their community.
