In 2024 LA Contemporary Dance Company: sent 2 members to participate in the APAP Conference NYC; 8 of our members participated in a presentation at Harvard-Westlake School to an audience of 40 people; and 3 choreographers presented commissioned works in Spring of 2024. We launched Los Angeles Choreographers Institute with 15 Session Leaders & Staff and 6 Choreographers. We provided scholarships to Winter 5 Instructors & Staff 28 Students & Summer Intensive 17 Instructors & Staff 40 Students training programs hosting students nationally and internationally. We continued presenting The Unseen Hours.a salon series; hosted First Look open rehearsal events 10 LACDC & Artists 75 Audience and launched Cheers & Chat 8 LACDC 25 Attendees. We presented World Premieres at Glorya Kaufman Performing Arts Center 12 LACDC & Crew 385 Attendees; provided community classes to the public 40 Students and Hosted Guest Teachers: Kitty McNamee Hannah Douglass Jaylene Mendoza Idoia Rodriguez and 4 LACDC Artists 100 Students. Our Choreography residency commissioned by the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Spain continued for the fourth consecutive year featuring Idoia Rodriguez. And we participated in a new Dance Film - ECHOES Directed by Jamila Glass choreographed by Idoia Rodriguez & featuring the original music of Jose Venditti.
