Genesee Yacht Club (GYC) accomplished all normal operations in 2025. GYC launches and hauls our own members and club owned boats, as well as the boat of the local Sea Scouts. Launch was held in early spring and haul was held in mid fall. GYC also provides dockage for 47 members boats and winter storage for approximately 60 boats.GYC held its regular weekly race schedule. Additionally, GYC hosted a regatta for women skippers, the Scotch Bonnet Light Race, other special races.(Continued on Schedule O)GYC also runs GYC Community Sailing (GYC-CS), a free program that introduces non, or beginning, sailors to the sport of sailing on members boats. GYC also has a program for club members to use club boats for the season.GYC also holds a number of social events throughout the calendar year. The full membership meets monthly, except in July. The Executive Board meets every month. GYC also hosts educational classes and workshops.
