THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND OF ALEXANDRIA AWARDED 215 NEW SCHOLARSHIPS TO ALEXANDRIA CITY HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 2025 GRADUATING SENIORS, AND RENEWED 370 SCHOLARSHIPS TO QUALIFIED PREVIOUS AWARDEES TO CONTINUE AND COMPLETE THEIR HIGHER EDUCATION. THE SFA ALSO PROVIDES COLLEGE ADVISING AND FINANCIAL AID ADVISING TO MORE THAN 4,000 STUDENTS IN GRADES 9-12 IN 2025 AND TO THOSE ACHS GRADUATES STILL IN ENROLLED IN A POSTSECONDARY INSTITUTION. DIRECT SERVICES ARE PROVIDED THROUGH ONE-ON-ONE MEETINGS, SMALL GROUP AND CLASSROOM PRESENTATIONS, PROGRAMS AND WORKSHOPS FOR FAMILIES, RESPONSIVE TEXTING PLATFORM INTERACTIONS AND MONTHLY SCHOLARSHIP NEWSLETTER E-MAILS. EXAMPLES OF PROGRAMMING INCLUDE FAFSA COMPLETION WORKSHOPS, COLLEGE BOOTCAMP FOR RISING SENIORS, PERSISTENCE PROGRAMMING FOR FIRST-GENERATION RECIPIENTS, TRANSITION TO HIGH SCHOOL PLANNING NIGHTS, ALUMNI PANELS AND WORKING WITH CURRENT SENIORS TO NAVIGATE AND SUPPORT NOMINATIONS FOR NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS. THE SFA CONTINUES TO PROVIDE ACCESS TO STUDENTS AT ACHS, AND INCREASE RETENTION AMONG RECIPIENTS.
