AN ACCOMPANIED TRANSFORMATIONAL PROCESS FOR SELF-IDENTIFIED BLACK WOMEN AND GIRLS IMPACTED BY INCARCERATION, THAT ARE POWERFUL SOCIAL INNOVATORS, OUT OF-THE-BOX RADICAL THINKERS THAT SEEK TO SHIFT, REACH AND DEEPEN THEIR ORGANIZING/ACTIVISM IN REGARDS TO POWER AND ITS IMPACT ON BLACK WOMEN, THEIR FAMILIES IN NOT ONLY IN THEIR COMMUNITIES AND COUNTRIES OF ORIGIN, BUT IN THE REGION ITSELF. WE CURRENTLY HAVE TWO FELLOWS, BOTH BLACK STATE VIOLENCE SURVIVORS. FELLOWS GET TWO YEARS MONTHLY PAID STIPENDS. THEY GET COACHING AND MENTORSHIP FROM A DEDICATED STAFF MEMBER. THEY GET TO CONNECT TO INTERNATIONAL FELLOWS THAT ARE WORKING ON PARALLEL PROJECTS AND HAVE EXPERIENCED SIMILAR LIFE EXPERIENCES AS THEY HAVE. THEY MUST BE NOMINATED BY SOMEONE THAT KNOWS THE ORGANIZATION AND KNOWS THEIR ISSUE/WORK, AND THEN GO THROUGH AN APPLICATION PROCESS AND AN INTERVIEW TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A FELLOWSHIP. THERE ARE A MAXIMUM OF THREE FELLOWS PER YEAR.
