53 children received preschool education at Trinity Preschool. Trinity Preschool worked with a number of families in crisis. This includes families dealing with illness and trauma, with financial issues and divorce. Trinity Preschool provides children of all economic levels and of all denominations. There are a variety of opportunities to explore, grow, learn and create. Our intention is to develop a secure environment for children so that they may participate in activities which help them develop as individuals and relate happily with other children. We provide a perfect place to teach Christian values and to set the stage for spiritual development. We believe play is the most effective way to teach young children. Play helps them learn social skills like sharing and self-control. Fine motor skills in preparation for holding writing tools. Gross motor skills for coordination and balance. Literacy skills practicing listening and comprehension. Math skills counting, sorting, and comparing. Science skills construction, experimenting and observing. We feel that preschool is an important step into the total education of the child and is, many times, the first experience outside the intimate family group. We encourage imagination in both art and play. We employ experienced staff that are completely dedicated to the goals and values of Trinity Preschool. We offer 3-year-old, 4-year-old and PreK classes. We plan weekly afternoon enrichment programs in addition to our morning classes. We encourage parents to become involved in our school during parties and special events. This sets the stage for parent involvement in future schools. Many parents go on to be leaders in area school parent organizations. We promote healthy emotional development by allowing children to express feelings in different ways, not only in words but also in creative activities utilizing different materials.
