Hope for Brighter Tomorrows is a Christian, non-profit organization, whose mission is to strengthen families impacted by mental health challenges and provides guidance to churches to support these families. By supporting families, we grow ever closer to our vision that families impacted by mental health challenges never have to walk alone.In 2024, HBTs operations included hosting a variety of BREATHE events, developing a new website (www.hopeforbrightertomorrows.org) as a one-stop shop for credible mental health resources, co-hosting Hope for Mental Health meetings, and producing content related to HBTs mission at various live and recorded events. In particular, the HBT team had the privilege of caring for and resourcing 115 BREATHE Moms during our flagship April and October BREATHE retreats, encouraging these moms with hope for the future and the strength to continue their journeys parenting children with mental illness. HBT also hosted four free BREATHE Prayer and Support Calls, for which 836 parents registered. During the calls, we worshiped, heard encouraging devotional thoughts, and prayed by name for the children of the parents on the call.HBT also hosted five free BREATHE Conversations Calls with noted mental health experts, with 1713 registrants. Parents were given tools to understand how best to care for themselves and strengthen their connection to the Lord as they continue to care for their children.Our BREATHE Parents Facebook Group grew to more than 1100 members, representing nearly a 22 percent growth year over year. In this group, parents can share with one another in a unique space where others get it and meet them with nonjudgmental care, support, encouragement and prayer.In collaboration with Saddleback Church, we hosted seven Hope for Mental Health Community Gatherings, attended by more than 750 people. Finally, HBTs founder traveled and spoke at fourteen events on mental health topics and recorded eleven podcasts and interviews in an effort to further HBTs mission.
