PARTNERS FOR HEALTH SERVICES. IN 2023 TIBA SUPPORTED MATIBABU HOSPITAL SERVING ABOUT 48,000 PATIENTS AND OFFERING OUTPATIENT AND INPATIENT SERVICES 75 BEDS A WHOLESALE PHARMACY X-RAY AND ULTRASOUND SERVICES MATERNITY CARE OPTOMETRY DENTISTRY AND SURGERY AS WELL AS SUPPORT FOR 200 FAMILIES WITH A DISABLED PERSON. THE BODA GIRLS PROGRAM MOTORCYCLE TAXI DRIVERS WHO ARE WOMEN'S HEALTH ADVOCATES PROVIDED WOMEN WITH MORE THAN 5,000 FREE RIDES TO MATERNAL CARE RESULTING IN A 67% INCREASE IN HOSPITAL BIRTHS. MATIBABU'S COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES HAD 341 STUDENTS ENROLLED IN COMMUNITY NURSING AND PERIOPERATIVE PROGRAMS MANY OF THEM SUPPORTED BY TIBA SCHOLARSHIPS. TIBA ALSO PROVIDED COLLEGE ONLINE TEXTBOOKS TO BE LOANED TO NEEDY STUDENTS. 100% OF GRADUATES PASSED THE NATIONAL EXAM FOR NURSING. THE NURSING PROMISE INITIATIVE SUPPORTED 220 HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS WITH A SUMMER STEM CAMP AND INSPIRATION FOR A CAREER IN NURSING. TIBA ALSO PROVIDED A GRANT TO THE AFRICA CANCER FOUNDATION FOR THEIR WORK WITH THE LREB CERVICAL CANCER AWARENESS COLLABORATIVE. THE COLLABORATIVE PROVIDED VACCINATIONS SCREENINGS OR TREATMENTS TO OVER 1,040,000 WOMEN IN 2023.

THE LIFUNGA SECONDARY SCHOOL FOR GIRLS SCIENCE LABORATORY CLASSROOM WILL HELP PREPARE VILLAGE HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS FOR CAREERS IN STEM.
