Land Stewardship & Volunteer Programs: Managed 68 acres of private forestland in the San Emigdio Mountains that we acquired for conservation purposes. Organized crews to remove hundreds of pounds of toxic lead and trash throughout the forest, reducing pollution to soils and waterways. Cleaned up more than 900 lbs. of lead ammunition and over 500 lbs. of plastic across seven different derelict target shooting sites in Ventura County. Engaged volunteers, and provided educational and career growth to 7 interns and fellows, providing training and inspiration for tomorrows conservation leaders.
