IN 2023, THE GOVERNMENT OF EL SALVADOR RESTRUCTURED THEIR CHILD PROTECTION SYSTEM. WHOLE CHILD INTERNATIONAL (WCI) WORKED CLOSELY WITH THE NEW PROTECTION ENTITIES TO HELP OPERATIONALIZE THEIR LEGISLATIVE MANDATE. WCI PROVIDED TRAINING IN HIGH-QUALITY CAREGIVING BEHAVIORS, CASE MANAGEMENT APPROACHES, TRAUMA-INFORMED APPROACHES, AND HOW TO USE STATISTICAL ANALYSIS AND STANDARDIZED INVENTORIES TO MEASURE CHANGE IN CAREGIVER BEHAVIOR AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT OUTCOMES. WCI ALSO DEVELOPED A NEW TRAINING IN ATTACHMENT THEORY-BASED CARE THAT WILL FURTHER IMPROVE QUALITY OF CARE AND UNDERSTANDING OF CHILD DEVELOPMENT NEEDS IN EL SALVADOR.
