WEEKEND BLUEBERRY FESTIVAL ORGANIZED & RUN. IT INCLUDES EDUCATIONAL AND LOCAL VENDOR BOOTHS FEATURING HANDMADE ARTS & CRAFTS, LOCAL GROWERS AND LOCAL BUSINESSES. THE FESTIVAL INCLUDES A BLUEBERRY RECIPE CONTEST, ENTERTAINMENT, CHILDRENS ACTIVITIES AND A 5K RUN. PROCEEDS ARE USED TO GIVE ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS TO HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS FROM BLUEBERRY GROWER COUNTIES (5 COUNTY REGION) BY ESSAY CONTEST. CONTESTS ARE JUDGED BY AN INDEPENDENT COMMITTEE. ALSO MONEY IS GIVEN TO LOCAL CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS AND 501(C)(3) CORPORATIONS TO HELP PEOPLE IN OUR COUNTIES.
