SRI CHINMOY ONENESS HOME PEACE RUN INC

During 2025, the Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run's U.S. activities centered on a new Peace Ride -- a 2 1/2-month, self-supported, ~2,500-mile bicycle relay from Seattle, Washington to Des Moines, Iowa, crossing seven states. Along the route, hundreds of Americans held the Peace Torch and shared their hopes for a more peaceful world, while riders visited schools, community gardens, historic peace sites, and municipal offices, building relationships with local officials and residents. A highlight of the ride was a stop at the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis, where the organization was honored to present a Torch-Bearer Award to civil rights icon Ruby Bridges. The ride was complemented by a wide range of cultural and outreach events across the country: a children's art exhibit in Seattle; participation in the Cape Verdean Independence Day festival in Rhode Island; community service and torch ceremonies in Chicago; a four-day Peace Run in Florida spanning Sanford and Orlando; a day of school visits in San Diego; the Peace Torch's appearance at the annual Embassy Open Day in Washington, D.C.; a 48.5-km Peace Torch swim around the island of Manhattan; and interfaith programs with students at St. Francis College. The year concluded with an inspiring Torch-Bearer Award ceremony at Aspiration Ground recognizing community leaders, and included a tribute to Dr. Jane Goodall. The organization also remembers team member Manorath, who organized the San Diego school visits and passed away only a few months later. We are grateful for his many years of devoted service to the Peace Run. Together, these activities reflected the Peace Run's mission of fostering a "oneness-world-family" through self-transcendence, cultural diversity, environmental stewardship, and interfaith dialogue.
