NATIONAL CHURCH RESIDENCES FOUNDATION IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION CERTIFIED AS A 501(C)(3) CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION. IN 1961, THE REVEREND JOHN R. GLENN AND FOUR OHIO PRESBYTERIAN CHURCHES FORMED THE PARENT COMPANY OF NATIONAL CHURCH RESIDENCES OUT OF A CHRISTIAN COMMITMENT TO SERVE OLDER ADULTS' HOUSING, SOCIAL, AND HUMAN NEEDS. NATIONAL CHURCH RESIDENCES FOUNDATION WAS SPUN OFF FROM THE PARENT COMPANY OF NATIONAL CHURCH RESIDENCES IN 2005 TO SEPARATE OUT THE PHILANTHROPIC FUNCTION OF THAT OHIO NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION. IT FUNCTIONS TO FURTHER THE MISSION OF THE PARENT ORGANIZATION BY PROVIDING ADDITIONAL SUPPORT TO IT AND ITS AFFILIATES AND TO PROVIDE CHARITY CARE FOR THE RESIDENTS OF COMMUNITIES OWNED AND OPERATED BY NATIONAL CHURCH RESIDENCES.NATIONAL CHURCH RESIDENCES FOUNDATION SUPPORTS THE MISSION OF NATIONAL CHURCH RESIDENCES WHO OWNS/MANAGES OVER 350 AFFORDABLE SENIOR AND HOUSING COMMUNITIES IN 25 STATES, SERVING OVER 30,000 RESIDENTS. IN ADDITION, NCR OPERATES TWENTY-THREE HEALTHCARE ENTITIES (SKILLED NURSING, ASSISTED LIVING, HOME HEALTH AND HOSPICE) IN OHIO AND FLORIDA.
