PERFORMING COMPANY AND CULTIVATE: TU DANCE'S TRAINEE PROGRAM CULTIVATE, ALONGSIDE WITH THE SCHOOL UPPER LEVEL HAD THREE PERFORMANCES AT THE SOUTHERN THEATER IN DECEMBER 2023 TO A TOTAL OF 198 ATTENDEES. IN APRIL 2024, THE COMPANY HAD 2 PUBLIC PERFORMANCES AT THE O'SHAUGHNESSY THEATER OF ST. CATHERINE'S UNIVERSITY FEATURING THE WORLD PREMIERE OF THREAT WITH A TOTAL OF 666 ATTENDEES. 551 STUDENTS ATTENDED THE EDUCATIONAL PERFORMANCE. PRIOR TO EACH PERFORMANCES, INFORMAL STUDIO SHOWINGS WERE HELD AT OUR LOCATION ATTRACTING A TOTAL OF 84 ATTENDEES. THE SCHOOL AT TU DANCE CENTER:THE SCHOOL PRE-PROFESSIONAL AND CHILDREN & TEEN PROGRAMS HAD A TOTAL OF 59 STUDENTS RANGING FROM 2-19 Y.O. DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR AND OFFERED A TOTAL OF 921 DANCE CLASSES. THE SUMMER PROGRAMMING ATTRACTED A TOTAL OF 28 STUDENTS. WE OFFERED TWO WORKSHOPS THROUGH OUR ADULT PROGRAM THAT INCLUDED A MOVEMENT/YOGA AND A GYROKINESIS WORKSHOP SERVING A TOTAL OF 22 PEOPLE. OPEN CLASSES WERE ALSO OFFERED THORUGHOUT THE YEAR. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: WE HOSTED SEVERAL COMMUNITY CLASSES AND EVENTS DURING THE YEAR, SOME PROVIDED BY VISITING CHOREOGRAPHERS CHRISTOPHER RALPH, YUSHA-MARIE SORZANO, AND OTHERS BY THE ARTISTS OF VISITING DANCE COMPANIES LINES BALLET AND HUBBART ST. DANCE CHICAGO. OTHER COMMUNITY CLASSES TOOK PLACE AT PARTNERS SCHOOL SUCH AS AVALON, ST.ANTHONY PARK LIBRARY, HUMBOLT HIGHSCHOOL, ST. PAUL CONSERVATORY FOR THE PERFORMING ARTISTS, ST. CATHERINE'S UNIVERSITY, AND DAKOTA MEADOWS MIDDLE SCHOOL (MANKATO, MN). THE TOTAL PEOPLE SERVED THROUGH OUR COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT CLASSES AND EVENTS WERE 474.
