THE BLUE RIDGE ORCHESTRA HELD NINE PERFORMANCES DURING THE 2023-2024 SEASON. THE BRO RECEIVED GRANT FUNDING FROM THE GRASSROOTS ARTS PROGRAM SPONSORED BY ARTSAVL, THE NORTH CAROLINA ARTS COUNCIL, AND THE BUNCOMBE COUNTY GOVERNMENT. WE USED THIS FUNDING FOR OPERATIONAL EXPENSES IN THE FALL OF 2023. IN DECEMBER OF 2023 AND MARCH OF 2024, THE BRO PARTNERED WITH THE HAYWOOD COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOR A THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR. IN EXCHANGE FOR CONCERT FEES, THE BRO HEADLINED THEIR FUNDRAISING EFFORTS WHERE ONE HUNDRED PERCENT OF THE PROCEEDS SUPPORTED HCC STUDENT NEEDS. THE BRO CELEBRATED THE END OF ITS 24TH SEASON WITH AN INAUGURAL INTIMATE APPEARANCE AT SOUTHER WILLIAMS VINEYARD IN JUNE 2024. THE BRO IS PROUD TO FOSTER SUCCESSFUL PARTNERSHIPS THAT EXTEND TO REMOTE AREAS OF WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA.
