Mission

The ORGANIZATION'S exists to educate, uplift and empower women with cancer by providing women with opportunities to explore wellness and healing modalities while developing a sense of community with other women along the same path. We are driven by the understanding that the challenges women have to overcome on their cancer journeys are complex and multifaceted. With this in mind, programs are specifically designed to facilitate the healing of an individual as a whole: mind, body and spirit. All of our programs and services are free for women with cancer.

THE ORGANIZATION'S signature programs are Overnight Wellness Retreats, 3-4 day journeys that transport women out of the everyday stress of coping with cancer into a peaceful environment where they are fully immersed in holistic lifestyle experiences. From special healthy menus to sessions focused on healing, every aspect of their stay IS PROVIDED with healthy and compassionate care. An array of retreat activities includes yoga, guided meditation, sound healing, art therapy, educational experiences and other important healing modalities. Day Retreats are one-day snapshots of our wellness retreats, and provide women with a day long experience focused on one aspect of healing, like heart healing, living a new normal, nutrition and more. Education is a critical part of cancer healing, and THE ORGANIZATION'S Educational Workshops focus on topics of critical importance to women with cancer, like reducing toxins, meditation, exercise and clean beauty. Sisterhood-Building Events help women organically connect with one another through shared experiences and form a bond of support to carry them through their journey. One-on-one support is also provided to THE ORGANIZATION including energy healing days, individualized nutritional counseling and more. Wellness Kits are kits filled with products designed to ease a womans experience with chemotherapy, and is provided free of charge to women in treatment. THE ORGANIZATION also maintains an extensive Resource Database of free services for women with cancer. Individual Financial Support to women struggling with the financial challenges of cancer treatment is provided to THE ORGANIZATION through our donor-restricted gifts to The Cassandra Fund. In 2023, more than 1,000 women accessed programs and services through The ORGANIZATION.
