Mission

Cat's Cradle of Greater Richmond rescues cats and kittens from the streets, area kill shelters and situations of abuse, abandonment or neglect. We also take owner-surrender felines on case-by-case basis. We ensure that the cats in our program receive proper medical care and attentive foster care, and work to place each rescued animal into a safe, permanent, loving home.

Each month we rescue approximately 50 cats and/or kittens from homelessness. Some come from area kill shelters, others are abandoned or relinquished by owners, or are suffering from neglect or abuse. We provide them with all necessary veterinary care including spay/neuter, vaccinations, tests, parasite treatment, and in some cases specialty surgeries and medications. We arrange and oversee all foster care and screen wisely to ensure that each rescue is adopted into a stable loving forever home.
