Swan Songs core program is the fulfillment of musical last wishes through private, personalized concerts. The concerts are available to any patient in a noncurative phase of care in the greater Central Texas area, whether they are in a hospital, care facility or in a private home. The concert requests can be for a specific local or regional musician, a musical genre, style, or instrument that has special meaning to the patient. Swan Songs works diligently to match the request with the appropriate musicians. Musicians are compensated for each performance and there is no cost to the recipient, their family, or the facility. Trained volunteers attend the concerts on Swan Songs behalf, collect any necessary paperwork, and document the concert.
