FISCAL YEAR 2024 WAS AN EVENTFUL AND PRODUCTIVE YEAR FOR THE REGENERATIVE RESEARCH FOUNDATION. ON OCTOBER 1, 2024 THE FOUNDATION MOVED TO A NEW LABORATORY FACILITY LOCATED IN ALBANY, NY. THE RELOCATION WAS ACCOMPLISHED WITHOUT INCIDENT AND RESEARCH ACTIVITIES RESUMED QUICKLY TO NORMAL LEVELS. FOUNDATION RESEARCHERS PUBLISHED SEVERAL ARTICLES IN PROMINENT SCIENTIFIC JOURNALS REPORTING THE RESULTS OF THEIR INVESTIGATIONS INTO NEURODEGENERATIVE DISEASES SUCH AS DEMENTIA AND POTENTIAL TREATMENTS FOR DISEASES OF THE NERVOUS SYSTEM. THESE PUBLICATIONS WERE MADE FREELY AVAILABLE TO THE RESEARCH COMMUNITY AND GENERAL PUBLIC THROUGH THE NATIONAL LIBRARY OF MEDICINE OPEN ACCESS REPOSITORY. THE FOUNDATION RESEARCHERS WERE ABLE TO SECURE 8 NEW GRANTS WHICH PROVIDE FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR THEIR RESEARCH ACTIVITIES.

JEFFREY STERN, PRESENTED STUDY RESULTS AS AN INVITED SPEAKER AT THE NATIONAL EYE INSTITUTE. THE INSTITUTE SERVES AS THE LEAD ORGANIZATION FOR A CONSORTIUM OF INSTITUTIONS AND INVESTIGATORS FOCUSED ON IDENTIFYING GENES ASSOCIATED WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF DEMENTIA. THE NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH AND SEVERAL PUBLIC CHARITIES SUPPORT THIS UNDERTAKING BOTH PROGRAMMATICALLY AND FINANCIALLY.
